trunK- The electronic device charging station.
This project is about making people more conscious of where electricity comes from, from nature. trunK- is a metaphor created to communicate this idea.

At first sight its function does not lend to its purpose. It sits in juxtaposition against its environment, provoking a response through it's unusual appearance and intriguing application of materials. It's not quite Product and it's not quite Contemporary Craft, which adds to its curiosity.

When in use, the cables that are used to charge every day devices such as; mobile phones, tablets, laptops, cameras, sprout from within the trunk, like vines.
What are often perceived as eyesores and hidden from sight are now celebrated.
trunK- is about shining a new light on the electronic cable as a piece of art as if they are the paint and trunK- is the canvas.
